This years music event (Music in the Meadow)
was held on the
Sunday 18th of July 2010, The committee decided that
following last years problems to try a Sunday event, which
started at midday and carried on until 7.00pm, it was aimed
at being a family event mainly for the residents, families
and friends of the village. This proved to be a great success, the venue at Warren Farm
provides an ideal location with a natural incline towards
the stage, which this year was a purpose built stage rather
than the usual trailer, We would like to thank MRL
productions for setting up this stage at no extra cost,
Thank you Graig. There was plenty of space for car
parking, plus food
and drink and Giggles City provided the bouncy castles and amusements etc for the kids
which this year was bigger and better than ever, There Kite display
were here again which was quite amazing. This
year we had tribute bands ABBA and BEE GEE's, Who gave a
truly great performance, following on with a band called
SOLED OUT this was a six piece band and they were brilliant,
this years event went amazingly with no incidents and
everyone enjoying themselves, even the weather was good
sunshine all day.

The preparation for the event the day
before, unloading lorries, erecting a 100sq mtr stage,
setting up the sound equipment, wiring up large generators
to power everything, there is a lot of hard work that goes
on behind the scenes. |
