Hi there St Osyth, Just a brief update from your local scout group. The group runs a full programme of activities for 6 to 141/2 year-olds and we now have a waiting list for all three sections. Meetings run during school terms as follows: Beavers from age 6 to 8 years old meet on Thursdays from 5.30pm to 7pm (1730-1900 hrs).

Cubs from age 8 to 101/2 years old meet on Fridays from 6.15pm to 7.45pm (1815-1945 hrs). Scouts from age 101/2 to 141/2 meet on Fridays from 8pm to 9.30pm (2000-2130 hrs). The groups’ only income is from Subs and the Table Top Sale which we run in the village hall every third Saturday of the month at 2pm (1400 hrs).

So watch out for the sign boards put out early on the day and come along for some great bargains plus tea or coffee only 40p with a free biscuit! We warmly welcome anyone interested in receiving some free training and getting into the latest scout uniform. It’s good fun helping in a small village scout group. Tip: A reef knot is very useful...right over left and then under. Left over right and under!! Yes you remember it well?
